Managing Pullip Dolls Hair?

i have a handful of pullip dolls. and sometimes their hair becomes quite unmanageable, especially with the hello kitty one which has 4 curls. does anyone have any method for managing/detangling their hair without using any external agents? can i do it just by using a comb, and if yes, wat kind of comb shld i use?
