Belgian / Appaloosa mix , hellp?

Okay so im thinking of buying a Belgian/ Appaloosa horse but i don't know much about the Belgian horse? what is there best gait/gaits and what would it be a good show horse? also i like to barrel race would that be a good mix , i know appys are great for that but idk..Help??
