FSX joyStick Problems?

i have a joy stick for FSX because its better to use but sometimes instead of working it will make my plane turn sharply right and i cant make it turn left or just go straigt i cant even takeoff with out it messing up i dont no if its my games itself or the joystick messing up the planes direction. if you know plz help me fix it
