He was a player, is he still playing me?

A guy i hated, then got to know had a sweet, endearing side and wasn't so immature as i seen him act with others, ended up being my crush for a little bit. We got along well and had a lot in common. he even helped me in math. i don't think he was interested in me as more than friends, so i moved on and over that time i got hotter (so people say) and now he always looks at me. he won't appraoch me/say anything ual or nothing like that, but i catch him staring at me sometimes when we're around each other. also, i notice he acts different around me, likemore serious. i think it's b/c he respects me. he usually is loud and touchy with girls, but w me he seems reflexive, it's weird haha but he still makes me laugh too. what's up with him? Just another trick in the player's manual?
