What is the best kind of clay to use without using a kiln?

I am trying to pick up a hobby for anxiety purposes and wanted something that was easy and relaxing. My friend suggested making small pottery (nothing big or fancy). I love the idea but I have no idea what to get as far as materials go. I don't have a kiln and I wanted to know what kind of clay I can use that will dry in the sun and wont crack. I would like to be able to get this clay in bulk, so if you get it from a certain store or a specific website please let me know. Thank you.
