How can i play the A chord on guitar?

okay im trying to learn Bad Moon Rising by CCR but i cant seem to get the a chord to sound out clearly. my fingers are big and i cant fit all three of the necessary fingers in the 2nd fret to play the A chord. any1 have any ideas?
